My name is Annie, and I’ll be your host at the Wandering Channel BnB. I am attending the University of Alaska in Juneau and as my summer job I have taken on the creation and running of the Wandering Channel. I’m working hard to gain as much experience as I can in the business world. The most important part of the job is to make sure you enjoy your stay. I’m always there to help you however I can. My hope is that you feel at home in our home. You're always welcome at the Wandering Channel.
Our family moved to Wrangell in 1996 from Alberta, Canada. Lynn is one of the community's medical doctors and Steve started and ran a Wilderness Therapy program in the community for many years. We have raised our three children here and have come to love the small island community. When Steve retired a few years ago we decided to open the Bed and Breakfast. We want Wandering Channel to reflect the peace, relaxation, and friendliness that is characteristic of life here in our little town.
Our daughter Annie has been instrumental in setting up the business. She is currently attending UAS in Juneau and is spending her summers managing the Bed and Breakfast. This is a valuable learning experience for her and is also providing a summer job and year around profit share for her labor. Annie created the logo, chose the name, created the marketing plan and built the website. She will also be your host during the summer months with her sister Molly taking over during the school year. Running the BnB is providing a valuable lessons in small business ownership .
